Public offer

Version of 21 October 2026. This is a translation; in case of discrepancy the Ukrainian version prevails.

1. General provisions

1.1. This document is a public offer by the individual entrepreneur (FOP) Bohatskyi Arkadii Mykhailovych, registered at: 120 Holosiivskyi Avenue, building 3, apartment 34, Kyiv 03127, Ukraine (the “Seller”) to conclude an agreement for the sale of goods and the provision of access to digital content (the “Agreement”) with any person (the “Buyer”) on the terms below, under Articles 633 and 641 of the Civil Code of Ukraine and the Law of Ukraine “On Electronic Commerce”.

1.2. The Agreement covers orders placed on store.ufgo.org, store.baduk.org and market.baduk.org (the “Shop”) and digital content the Buyer receives through the BIgo programs (BIgo Reader, BIgo Study and others) and the website study.baduk.org.

1.3. The Buyer accepts this offer by placing an order in the Shop and confirming agreement with its terms. The Agreement is then concluded in electronic form.

1.4. The Seller may change this offer. A new version applies from its publication in the Shop and does not affect orders placed earlier.

2. Goods and digital content

2.1. The Shop sells:

  • printed books, Go equipment, board and other games, gifts and second-hand books (“Bukinist”) — “physical goods”;
  • e-books and journal issues in the BIgo format — “e-publications”;
  • book and journal library subscriptions and time-limited access to BIgo programs — “subscriptions”.

2.2. The description, price and availability of each item are shown on its page in the Shop. Pictures may differ slightly from the item (colour, edition design). The condition of second-hand books is stated in the description.

2.3. Some publications are available only to buyers in Ukraine or to individual buyers chosen by the Seller. The Seller may not show such publications to buyers from other countries and may refuse to sell them.

3. Prices and payment

3.1. Prices are set in euros. Prices in hryvnias and US dollars are shown for convenience at the National Bank of Ukraine rate of the day; the amount payable is finally stated in the order.

3.2. The payment methods are listed at checkout: card payment through a payment service, transfer to the Seller’s bank account (IBAN) after the order is agreed, and other methods if listed there. Fees of the Buyer’s bank or payment service are paid by the Buyer.

3.3. An order is paid when the funds have reached the Seller. On payment the Buyer receives an electronic receipt where the law requires it.

3.4. The Seller may change prices. The price of a paid order does not change.

4. Placing and fulfilling an order

4.1. The Buyer places an order in the Shop with true details: name, e-mail, phone, delivery address (for physical goods) and preferred way of contact.

4.2. The Seller agrees orders of physical goods with the Buyer (availability, delivery, total) by phone, messenger or e-mail. If an item is not available, the Seller says so and the parties agree on a replacement or cancellation; money paid for an unavailable item is refunded.

5. Delivery of physical goods

5.1. Physical goods are delivered in Ukraine by Nova Poshta or Ukrposhta. Delivery abroad is made only after the Seller has agreed in advance whether it is possible, and the method, cost and time of dispatch.

5.2. Delivery is charged at the carrier’s rates and paid by the Buyer unless agreed otherwise.

5.3. The Seller agrees the dispatch date with the Buyer when confirming the order. Ownership and the risk of accidental damage pass to the Buyer on receipt.

5.4. On receipt the Buyer checks that the parcel is intact. Damage is recorded in the presence of the delivery service staff.

6. E-publications and subscriptions

6.1. After payment the e-publication or subscription is given to the BIgo Reader account linked to the Buyer’s e-mail. If there is no account yet, one is created and the Buyer receives an e-mail with a link to set the password. The publication downloads in BIgo Reader after signing in.

6.2. By buying an e-publication the Buyer receives a non-exclusive right to use it for personal reading and study on their own devices (up to three devices per account), without time limit unless a term is stated on the product page. The rights to the works belong to their authors and right holders.

6.3. Copying, distributing, passing to third parties, publishing or selling e-publications or parts of them, and circumventing the protection of publications and licences are prohibited. In case of violation the Seller may end access to the publications without refund.

6.4. During its term a subscription lets the Buyer borrow library publications on the terms of the chosen level (number of publications, loan period, renewals) described on the subscription page. A borrowed publication is available until the end of the loan or the subscription. Subscriptions do not renew automatically. The newest journal issue can only be bought.

6.5. A library trial is given to a new account once per person and computer.

6.6. Using digital content requires a compatible device (Windows or Android) and Internet access to receive and renew the licence. The Seller updates the BIgo programs and may change their features without impairing access to publications bought.

7. Returns and withdrawal

7.1. The Buyer may withdraw from the purchase of physical goods of proper quality within 14 days of receipt without giving reasons, provided the goods have not been used and their condition and properties are preserved, with the exceptions provided by law. The Buyer notifies the Seller and returns the goods at their own cost. The Seller refunds the price within 14 days of receiving the goods.

7.2. If physical goods are defective or do not match the order, the Seller, at the Buyer’s choice, replaces them, removes the defect or refunds the money, and bears the delivery costs of such goods.

7.3. E-publications and subscriptions are provided immediately after payment, and the Buyer agrees to this when placing the order. Once access has been given, the Buyer cannot withdraw from the Agreement for that digital content unless it is defective. If a publication does not open or has substantial defects that the Seller has not removed within 14 days of the Buyer’s request, the Seller refunds its price.

7.4. Refunds are made by the same method as the payment unless the parties agree otherwise.

8. Liability

8.1. The parties are liable for non-performance of the Agreement under the law of Ukraine.

8.2. The Seller is not liable for delays caused by delivery services, banks and payment services, nor for the impossibility to use digital content because the Buyer’s device is incompatible or faulty.

8.3. The parties are released from liability for non-performance caused by force majeure, including martial law, hostilities and power or communication outages, for the duration of such circumstances.

9. Personal data

9.1. By placing an order the Buyer consents to the processing of their personal data (name, contacts, delivery address, order history, BIgo account data) to perform the Agreement, deliver goods, provide digital content and communicate about the order, under the Law of Ukraine “On Personal Data Protection”.

9.2. The Seller passes data only to delivery services, banks and payment services as far as needed to fulfil the order, and does not pass it to others without the Buyer’s consent except as required by law. The Buyer may ask to correct or delete their data by writing to shop@ufgo.org.

10. Disputes

10.1. The Agreement is governed by the law of Ukraine. Disputes are settled by negotiation and, failing agreement, in court under the law of Ukraine.

10.2. Claims are accepted at shop@ufgo.org and answered within 14 days.
