Tesuji (a skillful trick)- the highlight of local fighting. If someone does not understand how to apply tesuji, they will be unable to defeat their opponent in a local fight. In this sense, tesuji are the basic building blocks that hone our fighting skills.
Ultimately, when someone is called a good fighter, it simply means they have a good instinct for tesuji, and when a weak player takes a beating from a stronger one, it is simply a consequence of the difference in these players’ understanding of tesuji.
We hope that this work will virtually eliminate all the complex and difficult aspects of this topic by clarifying situations that all players encounter in their games and briefly analyzing numerous tesuji.
